James McGinnis

​James McGinnis is a traumatic brain injury (TBI) survivor, artist, and motivational speaker from Overland Park, Kansas. In 2014, while playing football for Olathe East High School, he suffered a life-threatening acute  subdural hematoma that left him in a coma with less than a 7% chance of survival. During his coma, James experienced a profound spiritual encounter, inspiring his mission to spread love and compassion. His recovery involved relearning basic skills, and he now channels his journey into art and public speaking. James creates vibrant acrylic paintings and ceramic pieces, including contributions to Kansas City’s Parade of Hearts, all promoting his message: “Love One Another”.
